What is the difference between natural and organic makeup?
Natural describes the origin of ingredients; it does not by itself mean a product is certified organic. Under COSMOS, ORGANIC certification requires specified organic ingredient percentages. Check the certification and ingredient information on the product label.
What does COSMOS ORGANIC certification mean?
It means the product meets the COSMOS standard, including its organic ingredient requirements. It does not mean every ingredient is organic: water and minerals cannot be organic. It is not a guarantee that a product will suit every skin type.
Is organic makeup suitable for sensitive skin?
Suitability depends on the individual formula and your sensitivities. Organic or natural ingredients can still cause irritation or an allergic reaction. Review the full ingredient list and avoid ingredients you already know you react to. For persistent sensitivity or a diagnosed allergy, ask your dermatologist before choosing.
Does organic makeup mean fragrance-free?
No. Organic certification and fragrance-free are different claims. For example, the manufacturer lists parfum in Ultra Glam Mascara. If fragrance triggers your skin, look for a product explicitly labelled fragrance-free and check its full ingredient list.
Is every product and shade certified organic?
